A Bank Holiday Weekend of Swim, Bike & Run in the Gateway to the Dales
Join us for the Skipton Multisport Festival 2026, a family-friendly weekend of triathlon, cycling and running set in the heart of the historic market town of Skipton. Based at Aireville Park and the Skipton Leisure and Wellbeing Hub, this inclusive festival brings together athletes of all ages and abilities for two days of sport, community and celebration.
From junior triathlons and adult sprint racing to scenic cycling sportives and closed-road confidence riding, this is a true multisport weekend for everyone.
A Fantastic Yorkshire Venue
Skipton, known as the Gateway to the Dales, provides a perfect base for a vibrant multisport festival.
The event centre is located at Aireville Park and the Skipton Leisure and Wellbeing Hub. Swim events take place in the pool, with bike routes heading out into the surrounding Yorkshire countryside and run courses set within the park itself.
The combination of town, park and open countryside creates a varied and enjoyable race experience for all participants.
A Festival for the Whole Family
Skipton Multisport Festival is designed to be welcoming, accessible and fun for athletes of all ages and experience levels.
Working in partnership with local clubs including Craven Energy Triathlon Club, Skipton Cycling Club and Skipton AC, the festival brings together the local sporting community for a standout Bank Holiday weekend.
Whether you're racing for the first time, supporting a young athlete, or chasing a new personal best, there is something for everyone.

## Saturday – Cycling & Confidence Riding
Saturday is dedicated to cycling, with two scenic sportive options and a family-friendly closed road loop for younger riders.
### Cycling Sportives (Ages 15+)
Explore the beautiful Yorkshire countryside with two fully supported route options:
* 60km Sportive
* 100km Sportive
Both routes include a café stop and offer a rewarding ride through scenic roads surrounding Skipton.
### Junior Closed Road Loop
For younger riders or those building confidence on the bike, we offer a supervised closed-road loop in Aireville Park.
* 900m loop format
* Up to 30 minutes riding time
* Open to children under 16 with adult supervision
A safe and fun introduction to road cycling in a controlled environment.

## Sunday – Triathlon & Run Events
Sunday features a full programme of junior and adult multisport racing.
### Junior Triathlon Series
Part of the Yorkshire Junior Series, the junior races provide a structured progression of distances for developing athletes:
* Tri-Start (Age 8): 50m swim, 1km bike, 600m run
* TriStar 1 (Age 9–10): 150m swim, 3.7km bike, 1.2km run
* TriStar 2 (Age 11–12): 200m swim, 5.5km bike, 1.8km run
* TriStar 3 (Age 13–14): 300m swim, 7.3km bike, 2.4km run
* Youth (Age 15–16): 400m swim, 9.1km bike, 2.6km run
### Junior Sportive
* Up to age 16
* 30 minutes riding on a 900m closed loop
A brilliant introduction to cycling events in a safe, supportive environment.

### Adult Sprint Triathlon
A great entry point into multisport racing or a fast, competitive challenge for experienced athletes.
* 400m swim (pool-based)
* 22km bike
* 5km run (Aireville Park)
The Sprint Triathlon is also part of the Yorkshire Senior Series, attracting competitive regional racing.

Share the challenge with friends, family or club mates.
Teams complete the same sprint distance, with each athlete taking on one discipline.
